September 26 and 27,
NBAF will be presenting a commissioned theater piece, entitled Game On! This
piece, originally developed by New York-based Hi-ARTS, is a hip-hop
theater piece created in collaboration with students and adult
artists. When a young girl ends up inside a video game, she learns that
virtual reality is no match for real life in this Atlanta premiere of a new
hip-hop theater work created by middle school students and performed by adult
artists, breakdancers, and graduates of NBAF's Brave New Voices Institute.
It is written by Felice Belle and directed by Monica L. Williams.
