Stanford - Summer College Academy

Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies produces an array of programs for academically talented young students everywhere. Our programs are available online and in-person, during the summer and year-round, and feature broad exploration or intense study in a single subject. The choice is yours!

There are three sessions in Summer College Academy 2014, each offering a choice of two intensive undergraduate-level courses. Summer College Academy courses are equivalent to a six-unit Stanford undergraduate course.
Given the intensity of the courses, students should expect to spend an average 30 hours/week on coursework. Online class meeting times are determined by a combination of instructor availability, and the availability of students offered admission into the course.
Though applicants may apply to as many of the six available courses as they wish, admitted students must choose one intensive course to take. Courses begin in the online classroom and continue on campus, therefore students must participate fully in the 6–7 weeks of the course.
