The year 2017 will mark the launch of an innovative new partnership for Voya Foundation: Voya Scholars, in partnership with Scholarship America. Voya Scholars will be a new signature scholarship program for students of achievement currently in or about to pursue an academic degree or financial certification (i.e., CFA).
Being a participant in a JA program makes you eligible for this opportunity. (We are a partner of the Voya Foundation)
Scholarships will be $10,000 total in value, disbursed incrementally during
each winner’s remaining years in their academic program. In addition to
academic funding, any Voya scholarship recipient is eligible to participate in
opportunities provided by Voya Financial employees including resume help,
interview prep, networking opportunities, long-term mentorship, and
consideration for internships and full-time positions based on scholars’ skills
and experience.
Scholarship America, the administrator of Voya Scholars, has a time-tested
method of pre-screening applicants based on academic achievement, community
service and financial need. Based on these criteria, they will select
semi-finalists who will then be evaluated by a selection team established by
Voya Foundation.
