Reconnect with Junior Achievement and meet some of Atlanta's brightest students and young professionals on Thursday, July 28th from 6:00-8:00 pm at our Junior Achievement Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center. You'll make meaningful connections in a relaxed environment while growing your professional networking to help inspire your own academic and career goals. The evening will include a welcome presentation, an alumni panel, great food, open networking, and raffle prizes!

Business Immersion Camp in Memphis: Summer Camp for Rising Seniors


Business Immersion Summer Camp

 
 




Who? Rising seniors in high school

When? July 18-23, 2016

Where? Christian Brothers University in Memphis

What? Participants engage in interactive workshops and activities that introduce the student to specific business disciplines and potential career paths. The participants will also visit local companies in and around Memphis and be guided through the inner workings of the industry. This year's camp theme is Entrepreneurism in Memphis.

Cost? The student cost to attend the Business Immersion Camp is $200. This includes lodging, meals, all programming, travel in Memphis, and leisure activities.

  2. Board the GenHERation bus in the morning at our pickup destination
  3. The GenHERation bus transports you throughout the city to visit company headquarters and picks up surprise guests along the way
  4. Company visits consist of an office tour, panel of female executives, and skill-building simulations
  5. Get off the GenHERation bus at our dropoff location

$1000 Scholarship Opportunity for Incoming College Freshman Female

 
 
Omega Phi Beta Sorority's Alumnae Association will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to an incoming female college freshman this fall.
 
Applicants to the Reach for the Gold Book Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a female student of color. Woman of color identifies with any of the following ethnic backgrounds: Hispanic/Latina, Native American/Alaskan Native, Asian or Pacific Islander, or Black/African American.
  2. Must be a senior in high school or secondary school equivalent, graduating in May/June 2016.
  3. Must be entering an accredited 4-year college or university program as a first year student by the fall 2016 semester.
  4. Must have a minimum high school / secondary school academic average of 85, or 3.4 on a 4.0 GPA scale.
  5. Must have a minimum combined (math, writing, and critical reading) SAT score of 1300, or a minimum ACT Composite score of 25.
The deadline to apply for this scholarship is July 1st!
