Horatio Alger Association - Scholarship for High School Seniors

The Horatio Alger Association honors the achievements of outstanding individuals in our society who have succeeded in spite of adversity and who are committed to supporting young people in pursuit of increased opportunities through higher education.
 
The scholarship application for high school seniors is open until October 25th. Eligible students can receive up to $25,000 for college by applying here.

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation - Scholarship Opportunity!

Introduction

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation supports more than 1,400 college students each year, with annual scholarships of $3.4 million through two nationally recognized programs on behalf of the Coca-Cola System. Scholarship recipients excel academically and in service to others. Most Coca-Cola Scholars share a passion for social justice and many have overcome tremendous challenges to pursue their dreams.

High school seniors throughout the United States who meet the eligibility requirements may apply for one of our four-year, achievement-based scholarships. The application deadline is October 31.
 

Scholarships

THE COCA-COLA SCHOLARS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors each year. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 28th class in 2016, the Foundation has provided over 5,700 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $60 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.

Free Art School Prep Course for Maynard Jackson HS Students

Launching on Tuesday, September 13, 3:30pm-5pm 
at Maynard H. Jackson High School, Art Room 1159*

#YOURBASICS is a free art school prep course designed for Maynard H. Jackson High School students interested in pursuing a college education in the arts. Led by a pool of distinguished local arts professionals, the course will provide students with the knowledge, skills, tools, and resources needed to put together strong college applications.

Over the course, participants will learn about the art school admission process, enhance their writing and communication skills, learn how to document artwork and assemble a strong portfolio, and participate in a series of field trips to local arts institutions. This semester we are proud to present:

Iman Person, WonderRoot's Arts Innovation Specialist, Walthall Artist Fellowship alum, & Artist
